The Retiree Health Care Trust Fund was established to fund the City’s contributions for health care premiums of its retirees and their survivors.

In June 2008, voters approved Proposition B, establishing a Retiree Health Care Trust Fund (RHCTF) to pay the City’s contribution toward health care premiums for retirees of the City and County of San Francisco and their survivors (Charter Section A8.432). The RHCTF is funded through employee and employer contributions and investment earnings.

The Board meets on the 4th Monday of the 1st month of each quarter: January, April, July, and October. Meetings convene at 1:00 pm at 1145 Market St., 6th Floor.
